Planning a Grant with USF Libraries

Are you working on a grant application that could benefit from expertise found in the USF Libraries? We are interested in partnering with you! In order to help you be successful, the USF Libraries want to ensure that we have the appropriate level and number of personnel available to help. With that in mind, we have developed a new web resource, Planning a Grant with the USF Libraries, which you can find on the Services for Faculty page, under the Research section heading.

Planning a Grant with the USF Libraries outlines questions to keep in mind as you plan your grant, such as the types of expertise you need from the USF Libraries, budget considerations, and the duration of the project. It also includes explanations of specific areas of library expertise that could be useful to your project, with contact information or email addresses listed.

Once you email us, we will schedule a time for a brief interview to learn more about your project so that we can determine how best to support you. This information will be shared with the Grants Working Group, which will evaluate the project for library participation. Because of resource constraints and competing priorities, the USF Libraries cannot guarantee participation by library personnel on all projects. Any grant proposal requiring staff time or other resources from the USF Libraries requires signed approval from the USF Libraries Dean to indicate that the USF Libraries agree to commit resources to the project.

We look forward to working with you! (Guest post by Carol Ann Davis).
