If you are interesting learning more local Black History, visit the AAE (African American Experience) in Florida  Digital Exhibit. The site includes the Florida Civil Rights Oral History Project that includes interviews with several of Florida’s civil rights leaders who were active at the height of the civil rights movement during the 1950’s and 1960’s. Also incuded are the Civil Rights Papers of Cody Fowler and Steven Lawson. The African American Burial Ground Remembering Project is another key resource, a project that hopes to recover and re-interpret African American cemeteries in Florida by “unbury, unerase, and demarginalize Black cemeteries.”
