E-books for academic libraries come in a variety of platforms and formats, and that variety can be very confusing. For some publishers, there are restrictions on downloading and printing. For many of those publishers, users can download the entire book, but after a week, the book disappears from their device because of copyright restrictions. For others, like many Springer books, users can download chapters and keep them at will. The USF Libraries has a guide that can help you figure out what you can do with e-books from various publishers should you have any questions. The video tutorial above explains to students the differences among publishers and platforms.
