A recent report from PEN America indicates that in the first nine months of 2021 state legislatures introduced 54 bills that would restrict teaching and training of subjects, including legislating against critical race theory, in K-12 schools, higher education, and in state agencies. These bills are a threat to free speech and impact teachers in many states, including Florida.
