“Working at the library made me certain of what I want to do. The staff and other students became my support system and have really been there through all the ups and downs of my undergraduate career.” – Victoria Dragoslis
HOW HAS THE LIBRARY AIDED IN YOUR ACADEMIC GOALS?

The library aided my academic goals by giving me a support system that was able to help me find any answer I could possibly need. They also helped me with learning about different resources and people that could help me with anything.

HOW HAS WORKING AT THE LIBRARY AIDED IN YOUR CAREER GOALS?

Working at the library made me certain of what I want to do. The staff and other students became my support system and have really been there through all the ups and downs of my undergraduate career. Without them encouraging me and supporting me, I probably wouldn’t have been able to differentiate all the things I wanted to do and pick one.

WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS IN YOUR CAREER?

I plan on continuing my education to prepare to go into a Biomechanics or Exercise Physiology masters program and then applying to osteopathic medical school soon after that degree. In the meantime, I am working at AdventHealth in the surgical department and was just promoted to be a Team Lead.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE CHANGES IN COMMENCEMENT?

I was very upset when commencement was canceled because I had gone through so much in my undergraduate career. It was going to be the moment where I could finally say, “I did it!” But nonetheless, summer commencement will hopefully happen and I will be there when it does.

WHAT ARE YOUR SELF-ISOLATION TIPS FOR THOSE STUCK AT HOME?

As an essential worker I can’t necessarily self-isolate, but I would definitely say taking one day a week to just focus on yourself. This is so important because you have the time to focus on things you have been putting off, so do it. Do a face mask. Clean your room. Cook an amazing meal.

IF YOU WEREN’T SOCIAL-DISTANCING RIGHT NOW, WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?

If this whole pandemic wasn’t happening right now, I would probably be spending all my free time downtown or trying to attend as many sporting events as I can.

Thank you for everything, Victoria, and congratulations on graduating! We wish you much success in your future accomplishments. GO BULLS! 🤘
