USF Libraries will be launching a new #Creekshed map, asking — “What are the Human and Natural Stories that Drain into the Gulf?”
Join us on April 22 (Earth Day) from 4:00-5:30 p.m. at Nelson Poynter Memorial Library, USF St. Petersburg campus for the launch of this new online narrative map!
The online narrative map will feature poets and writers from across Florida and the Tampa Bay area, responding to archival objects in USF Libraries.
Poets and writers dig into the past to explore our present and future relationships with our many creeks, bayous, bays, ditches, and canals.
The launch will feature readings by many of the project’s contributors, including NPR columnist Diane Roberts, as well as our own Julie Armstrong and Gary Mormino.
This event and open to the public. Thanks to the Frank E. Duckwall Foundation, and to Creative Loafing for media support.
