We are happy to announce that applications for USF Libraries scholarships, research awards, and essay prizes for the 2025-2026 award year are open!
Many awards and scholarships are open to all student classifications. However, there are awards that only appear under a specified deadline. Also, please note that some awards have different applications and not all are accessed through AwardSpring.
Research awards, essay prizes, and scholarships are available in a variety of topics including:
The Leland Hawes Undergraduate and Graduate Essay Prize in Florida Studies, up to $500– The Leland Hawes undergraduate and graduate essay prizes are awarded to students who submit the best overall essay on a Florida Studies topic.
Samuel Y. Fustukjian Memorial Scholarship, up to $1,000.00, Tampa campus only – submit an essay about your goals and aspirations in your academic endeavors.
Patrick Riordan Memorial Research Award in Florida Studies, up to $2500– Must submit an essay about the nature of your study and how the specific resources in the USF Libraries Florida Studies collections are crucial to your research interests
