“The Library has helped me narrow what I want to do once I get my Master’s, but also it has helped open my eyes to the things that the academic library has to offer to the public—as well as the librarians that work there.”– Delia Diaz
How has the Library aided in your academic goals?

It has helped push me higher in the lists for graduate school for library science.

How has working at the Library aided in your career goals?

The Library has helped me narrow what I want to do once I get my Master’s, but also it has helped open my eyes to the things that the academic library has to offer to the public—as well as the librarians that work there.

What are the next steps in your career?

Go to graduate school so that I can obtain a Master’s in Library and Information Science.

How do you feel about the changes in Commencement?

I feel saddened because many of my family members were going to show up and celebrate. We still have the opportunity to do so however.

What are your self-isolation tips for those stuck at home?

Always find a video game to get addicted to or just find new hobbies to try to take up.

If you weren’t social-distancing right now, what would you be doing?

I would be with my friends or family members, just hanging around or finding ways to prolong our visits with each other. Like going to downtown or going to their houses.

Congratulations on graduating, Delia! We thank you for all of your contributions to the Library’s success, and we wish you the best in your future accomplishments. GO BULLS! 🤘
