Tampa campus

5-Hour Laptop Checkout

A limited number of laptops on the Tampa campus are available for use on campus for a loan period of up to five hours.
  • Laptop use is restricted to USF students and faculty with a current USF ID
  • Laptops are available on a first-come-first served basis
  • Laptops not returned on time are subjects to current fine practices
  • No additional software is to be downloaded to the laptop once it has been checked
  • Restrictions on equipment check outs may be applied if items are turned in late or overdue on multiple occasions over the course of a semester.
Please see the staff at the Circulation Desk, located in the lobby of the 1st floor, for questions and laptop availability.

 

St. Petersburg campus

The USF St. Petersburg library provides ten (10) Lenovo Flex 14 laptops to USF students for on-site use.
  • Laptops are checked out through the Library Services Desk, and require a USF ID and signed borrower agreement.
  • Laptops are checked out to your library account for a three (3) hour period in the same manner as a book.
  • Laptops are for use within the USF St. Petersburg Library building only, and must be returned promptly or an overdue fine will accrue at the rate of ten dollars ($10.00) per hour, maximum $50.00 fine. After 5 hours of being overdue, laptop is billed as lost with a $20.00 non refundable processing fee.
  • For maximum portability, students may also check out a USB Thumb drive to take work home. Headsets are available upon request.

Sarasota-Manatee campus

4-Hour Laptop Checkout

A limited number of Surface Pro 7 Laptops on the Sarasota-Manatee campus are available for use within the library for a loan period of up to four hours.
  • Laptop use is restricted to USF students and faculty with a current USF ID
  • Laptops may not leave the Library building
  • Laptops are available on a first-come-first-served basis
  • Laptops not returned on time are subject to current fine practices
  • No additional software is to be downloaded to the laptop once it has been checked out
  • Restrictions on equipment check outs may be applied if items are turned in late or overdue on multiple occasions over the course of a semester.
