Info + Data Literacy Modules – These short, asynchronous, badge-earning workshops are easy for students & faculty to enroll themselves into, or for faculty or embedded librarians link to within Canvas courses. Subject & Course Guides: Know what we know – find it in our guides! Including research and services assistance, subject guides, and useful resources compiled by your friendly librarians. USF LIB Instructional Videos on YouTube: These quick videos are designed to help you get the information you need to get on with your work. Data Literacy Teaching Toolkit: Instructional activities and resources, with sample assignments, for faculty teaching data literacy skills and integrating data-related learning objectives into their courses. Digital Learning Objects & Media Tools: Open-access (OA) resources for instruction, with virtual field trips and other materials to supplement instruction.

About the Research & Instruction Department

The USF Libraries’ R&I department is committed to serving faculty & students through a wide range of collaborative teaching and research activities.
  • We provide self-guided and librarian-led instruction on information and data literacy
  • Facilitate workshops for researchers that provide tools and strategies that support all stages of the research process and enhance research impact and visibility
  • Offer resources such as library guides, curated open resources and course material lists, and collaborative assignment development with instructional faculty
  • Participate in long-term collaborations with faculty on notable USF strategic initiatives
