Of course we’ve got a book for pretty much anything–we’re the libraries! Beyond books, journals, and digital resources, we also offer many valuable services in support of student success and faculty excellence.
We’ve got a workshop for that: USF Libraries’ Workshops for Researchers offer more than 100 workshops in various focus areas ranging from developing research strategies, copyright, and data literacy to R Programming, Chat GPT & Generative AI in research, metadata, and much more.
We’ve got a collection for that: USF Libraries purchase and create distinctive research collections in support of USF’s 60+ research disciplinary areas. Our libraries provide access to over 3.8 million print and eBooks, 105,000 eJournal subscriptions, and over 24 million digital images. We also support cross-disciplinary research as the home of the USF Herbarium and Florida Environment & Natural History collections.
We’ve got an opportunity for that: We offer internship opportunities and student employment in a variety of areas including metadata, data analysis, digitization, archives, collections analysis, and Open Access journal publishing. Our subject matter librarians, collections curators, archivists, and creative professionals are available to help USF students and faculty dig into, develop, polish, and publicize their research.
We’ve got a resource for that: USF students and faculty can take advantage of expanded resource access through our Interlibrary Loan and UBorrow programs, lessen the load of textbook costs by checking out free textbooks or course reserve materials, or get support through course & subject online guides. Faculty benefit from services ranging from GIS support to faculty impact and promotion, curriculum development, and tenure support. From flexible study spaces to printing resources, USF Libraries ensure patrons have access to necessities for success including calculators, laptops, and chargers for loan–even 3D printing at the Student Technology Center (USF St. Pete).
