Overview

The USF Global Research Toolkit is a vehicle for USF professionals to share resources, best practices, and ideas for successfully navigating the international research arena. There is no one size fits all approach to promoting and managing globalized research, but we hope that the Global Research Toolkit provides a USF community platform for building capacity among those just getting started and for enhancing the abilities of those already well versed in the complexities of international engagement. Our goal is to create a sustainable and nimble Toolkit that will provide useful and timely resources for USF’s global engagement. To this end, we encourage all potential users and stakeholders of the resource to contribute templates, guides, case studies, examples of best practices, worksheets, forms, or other types of materials so that we may populate the Toolkit with resources that empower! Credit for resources will be attributed to contributors and their offices/departments/units.

About the Toolkit

The Global Research Toolkit provides an online platform for educating and informing members of the USF research community about how to develop, implement, and sustain a successful international research ecosystem. The content of this Toolkit is organized around key themes and strategies for international project success. The goal is to equip USF research and development administrators with information and access to a forum for strengthening their skill set and contributing to the capacity building of others. The ability to share ideas, innovations, and strategies is especially important. You are cordially invited to contribute to the development of an online toolkit designed to support international research project management. Please check back often, leave content comments and ideas, discuss your related international research management experiences in our forum, and send us case studies, templates, and/or resources that you find useful in your global research capacity.

The Global Research Toolkit is designed to be a resource for offices, units, departments, and people engaged in international research endeavors. The project is managed in USF World, but its content is sourced from those of you who work with international projects (in many types of capacities) at USF and who serve as content experts and contributors.

The Toolkit is an avenue for USF professionals to share resources, best practices, and ideas for successfully navigating the international research arena. There is no one size fits all approach to promoting and managing globalized research, but as a public university, USF has strict guidelines that must be followed when operating internationally. We hope that the Global Research Toolkit provides a community platform for building capacity among those just getting started and for enhancing the abilities of those already well versed in the complexities of international engagement.

Our goal is to create a sustainable and nimble Toolkit at USF that will provide useful and timely resources for its research community. To this end, we encourage all potential users and stakeholders of the resource to contribute templates, guides, case studies, examples of best practices, worksheets, forms, or other types of materials so that we may populate the Toolkit with resources that empower!  Credit for resources will be attributed to contributors and their home unit/office/department.
