Happy Homecoming University of South Florida!

In 2019, we kicked off USF Homecoming with our very first LIB Fest: a bringing together of our students, faculty, staff, and alumni—celebrating being a Bull—and introducing you to our many services, unique collections and materials, and our teams that work hard to bring you the very best in research and study support. You can take a peek at our festivities in our LIB Fest 2019 Photo Gallery, which included a book-cart decorating contest, tours of the Tampa Library, raffle, virtual reality, a documentary premiere about preserving Cape Canaveral, and so much more.

#LIBFest 2019

Now in 2020, as we are in the midst of a global pandemic, we want to virtually introduce you to your consolidated #ONEUSF Libraries. LIB Fest might be delayed until next year, when we can be together, in person, again, but in celebration of consolidation, homecoming, and bringing the Bulls spirit into our homes and hearts, we bring you a quick welcome from the Tampa Library, St. Petersburg’s Nelson Poynter Memorial Library, and Sarasota-Manatee’s Information Commons!

Since 1956, we have provided our USF community with high-quality research materials, secure and comfortable study spaces, and exceptional subject expertise. We are here to help. We are dedicated to inspiring research, creativity, and learning – especially in these virtual times. By securing seamless access to our extensive collections, we help you discover library resources and bring them to life. We provide around-the-clock library support to our patrons, impact USF student success through information literacy and research assistance, and actively work to save our students millions of dollars by finding affordable course materials. We support high-impact faculty and graduate student research, and preserve rare and unique history to foster creativity and learning. Through specialized services, open-access and digital collections, we aim to drive the creation of new knowledge. We transform information access, and solve real-world challenges that promote stewardship, preservation, and sustainability. And we can be proud that our libraries positively contribute beyond our collections, by providing safe spaces for learning, discussion, and exploration. We are thrilled to be back together as One USF, because the USF Libraries are stronger together than apart! Our collective futures are bright. Stay safe, stay healthy, and Go Bulls!

(A special thanks to Ginny Gates-Fowler, Library Assistant, and Rachel Bomberger, Assistant Librarian, for their efforts in rounding the troupes to film and edit.)
