“Working part-time at the Library has given me the experience of balancing my academic, social, and work life all in one.” – Katie Dames
HOW HAS THE LIBRARY AIDED IN YOUR ACADEMIC GOALS?

The library has provided me with an abundance of resources from tutoring, textbook lending, resume workshop, and of course the lovely position as a front desk attendant.

HOW HAS WORKING AT THE LIBRARY AIDED IN YOUR CAREER GOALS?

Working part-time at the Library has given me the experience of balancing my academic, social, and work life all in one. It showed me that my career goals require discipline, care, patience, and passion.

WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS IN YOUR CAREER?

I plan to pursue a graduate degree in Marine Science and begin entering the work field that caters to my Marine Biology degree.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE CHANGES IN COMMENCEMENT?

The changes in Commencement are understandable considering the grave circumstances we as global citizens are under right now.

WHAT ARE YOUR SELF-ISOLATION TIPS FOR THOSE STUCK AT HOME?

A tip of mine is to create different areas in your space that cater to different things you might be doing, like having an area just for leisure reading or a space for watching movies.

IF YOU WEREN’T SOCIAL-DISTANCING RIGHT NOW, WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?

If I was not social distancing right now, I would probably be running around Tampa trying to ensure I have all my graduation supplies ready for the weekend!

Thank you for everything, Katie, and congratulations on graduating! We wish you much success in your future accomplishments. GO BULLS! 🤘
