USF Libraries Tampa Special Collections & Tampa Bay History Center are celebrating City of Tampa’s Archives Awareness Week! Join us Thursday, July 15th from 6 – 7 p.m. for a special live virtual screening of the 1955 promotional film about Ybor City, City Within a City — created by Paul Rubenstein, Cesar Gonzmart, and the Columbia Restaurant Orchestra, and published by the Ybor City Chamber of Commerce. 

Tampa Special Collections’ Tomaro Taylor and Andy Huse, along with TBHC’s Brad Massey, will explore promotional films and Florida boosterism in the 1950s and 60s. This Live event, hosted on Microsoft Teams, will be recorded and made available on the USF Libraries – Tampa campus YouTube after the event. Link to Live event is below:
