“The Library helped me grow interest in supervisory positions as well as data entry and meticulous data management.”– Bethany Collins
How has the Library aided in your academic goals?
My supervisor Jessi Hurd has always been very understanding that I am a student first, so she makes sure I am on top of my homework and paying enough attention to my classes. The Library has provided various services for me to use such as finding scholarly articles and e-textbooks.
How has working at the Library aided in your career goals?
The Library helped me grow interest in supervisory positions as well as data entry and meticulous data management.
What are the next steps in your career?
I will be working at TransferWise immediately upon graduation as a customer service associate. It is an entry position but after a year I plan to advance through the company to a higher position, such as a team lead or working with managing payments.
How do you feel about the changes in Commencement?
It stinks that Commencement was postponed since my family purchased tickets and hotels, however the current situation in the U.S is bigger than graduation. Many people have died and are extremely sick, so I have no problem postponing graduation in order to make sure everyone can be safe and healthy.
What are your self-isolation tips for those stuck at home?
Get a dog so you can go on walks and to parks in order to stay active and get some fresh air. Binge all the stuff you’ve had in your Netflix list.
If you weren’t social-distancing right now, what would you be doing?
I would definitely be at the beach.

Thank you, Bethany! And congratulations on graduating! We wish you much success in your future accomplishments. GO BULLS! 🤘
