USF Ratings/Statistics

From humble beginnings in 1956, USF defied the usual timeline of graduated progress, choosing instead to emerge as a Preeminent University in a short 60 years. The Carnegie Foundation awarded USF the distinction of “Doctoral University with Highest Research Activity” (2.5 % of all universities have achieved this), the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society awarded a chapter to USF, and USF is 5th in the nation among public universities for granted U. S. patents.
