Don’t forget to give a teacher some love on May 7th. The National Education Association suggests to update your social media to thank a teacher, for example, by changing your Facebook status to thank a teacher who made a difference in your life. Or, by sending appreciation messages on Twitter and using the #thankateacher hashtag.
The majority of the books on display can be checked out.

We are happy to announce the return of our Subject Guides!
Subject Guides are a very useful tool to identify resources for specific subjects or topics, like Business, Information Technology or Education. You will find guides that are Lakeland-specific as well as guides that are prepared by Tampa librarians. You can also access them with a direct link under “Research Help” on the home page.
We welcome suggestions for new resources or new guides, please let us know!

We are working on a new website. We apologize if some links are not working correctly.
We are listing direct links to the catalog, databases, e-journals list and interlibrary loan here for convenience:
Please remember that you have to sign through my.usf.edu (Blackboard) or the VPN to use the electronic resources from off-campus. In Blackboard, look for the USF Libraries tab.
You can also use the Tampa Library’s website at: http://www.lib.usf.edu/

We are publishing this week the first issue of a new Library publication, the Faculty Research Review.
This publication, prepared by Business Librarian Lisa Zilinski, extensively lists USF Polytechnic faculty’s scholarly works – books, book chapters, journal articles and proceedings – produced in 2011. Zilinski used a variety of sources to identify the publications, including vitas, library databases and web searches.
When available, links to the library catalog or to the full-text content were included. If you’re off-campus, don’t forget to log in first into the USF VPN or the “USF Libraries” tab in Blackboard.
Here are some notes on how publications were selected:
- Books are authored, co-authored, edited or co-edited by a USFP faculty member
- Selected articles are from peer-reviewed journals
- Selected proceedings are from peer-reviewed and published conference proceedings. Some of the peer-reviewed proceedings have not yet been published, but have been included
We plan to produce this publication bi-annually.
