Professional Development Workshop Series
The OUR Professional Development workshop series provides training and instruction to undergraduate students in the areas of writing, research, presentation and publication, and networking. More than a dozen professional development workshops are scheduled throughout the academic year and focus on a variety of topics including demystifying graduate school, writing for success, identifying research opportunities, and applying for summer research opportunities (REU’s).
All workshops facilitated by Dr. Richard Pollenz, Associate Dean & Director of the Office for Undergraduate Research.
Attending a Research Conference
Topics include how to prepare for the event and how to manage your time and successfully network during the event.
Writing Center staff will discuss strategies for successful academic writing. Students are encouraged to bring written work to review/discuss.
