Reflecting on his undergraduate experience at USF Physics major Ramon Alejandro Ruiz describes himself as transformed from a simple college student to a dedicated researcher. He credits his success to dedicated mentors and the dynamic research environment at USF. Since joining the Functional Materials Lab in 2010, under the direction of Dr. Phan, Ramon has accumulated an impressive amount of research experiences ranging from co-authored publications to several conference presentations. Ramon’s next challenge is graduate school. He is currently culling through offers by Yale, Cornell, UC Santa Barbara and others. His accomplishments reflect the collective efforts of the entire USF community and we congratulate Ramon on his high academic achievement.
