Please not that the FMHI Research Library’s hours will change slightly during the Holiday season. Per usual, the Library will be closed weekends.

December 10-14 (Final Exam Week): Monday – Thursday, 8 AM – 6 PM; Friday, 8 AM – 5PM
December 17-21 (Intersession): Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
December 24 – 28 (Winter Break): CLOSED
December 31 – January 4: Closed Monday & Tuesday for Winter Break; Open Wednesday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Regular hours will resume January 7, 2013.

If you’re on the northwest corner of campus and need assistance with your research, stop by the FMHI Research Library. Although the librarians specialize in mental and behavioral healthcare resources, they are able to help you navigate all of the USF Libraries‘ resources – from databases to e-journals, citation management tools to ILL.
If you haven’t met Claudia and Tomaro, now’s your chance! The librarians are here Monday – Thursday, 8 AM – 6 PM, and Friday, 8 AM- 5 PM.

The FMHI Research Library will be closed November 22 & 23 for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Regular hours will be held Wednesday, November 21, and will resume the following Monday, November 26.

The FMHI Research Library recently unveiled a new teaching lab designed to provide users with in-library instruction and tele-conferencing solutions. The lab seats 15-20 comfortably and is equipped with wi-fi, a wired computer, and an 80″ LED display screen. In addition to university and library classes, the FMHI Library welcomes other, professional uses for the lab, such as: workshops, seminars, and webinars.

Have you been wondering about the four, “winged” poles near the Librarians’ offices at FMHI? They’re Internet kiosks! The kiosks are designed to provide laptop, tablet and smartphone users with easy access to electrical plugs and additional lighting for their Wi-Fi connectable devices. Ideally suited for one individual on each side, small groups also can gather around a laptop (or two) for quick discussions or group projects.
While we await the arrival of workstation-height chairs, consider using the stations to work while standing up! Recent studies suggest that getting out of your chair may help fight against chronic disease.
